Wimbledon Finals 2009: Serena and Venus Williams Meeting At Wimbledon Finals 2009

The Wimbledon 2009 Tennis Championship is drawing to an end now and we are down to the finals throughout Saturday and Sunday.

We have seen some outstanding matches and some great performances along the way, but for some of us, dreams were shattered.

British tennis fans had put all their hopes on Andy Murray winning his semi-final yesterday, to be placed against Swiss ace Roger Federer, is aiming towards his 15th Grand Slam title, in Sunday’s men’s singles finals.

But, as we mentioned in a previous post, Murray was defeated by Roddick, so he takes Murray’s place in Sunday’s final. And with the women’s single final, which will see sisters Venus and Serena Williams play each other, held today, it’s an interesting weekend.

Venus and Serena Williams are meeting for the fourth time in a Wimbledon final 2009. Venus won last year but Serena is 2-1 up and generally has the edge when it comes to Grand Slam finals against her older sister. Women’s Wimbledon Finals 2009 this Sunday July 4
