Siren Music Festival 2009: Fun Place To Go
July 18th, 2009 LimauAis Celebrities
Siren Music Fest, produced by New York mainstay the Village Voice, returns to Coney for a ninth summer and for the first time since New York developers put the kabosh on Astroland to make way for condos. The lineup remains as indie-rock-minded as ever, however, even if the Cyclone is the only ride to remain in operation.
Built To Spill, The Ravonettes, Frightened Rabbit, Spank Rock and Future Of The Left headline the day-long, free festival, which features music on two stages. Typically, acts are added to the schedule as the summer progresses.
Other artists confirmed include Bear Hand, Japandroids, Grand Duchy, Monotonix and Micachu & The Shapes, A Place To Bury Strangers, Thee Oh Sees, Tiny Masters Of Today and Justine D.
