Megan Gibson will also be in St. Louis to host clinics, meet fans and sign autographs at the MLB All-Star FanFest, which is a baseball theme park and the largest baseball fan event in the world. NPF will have a display area and will offer fans the chance to meet players, get autographs and free giveaway items, as well as participate in clinics on the Diamond.
“I’m really excited about playing in the celebrity softball game,” said Megan Gibson. “We are the first NPF players to participate in it and it will be a great opportunity. The NPF is lining up a lot of things to get the league more known and to get best players in college to come play.”
The Spring, Texas, native recently returned from playing professional softball in Japan and will continue playing for the Philadelphia Force through August, when Megan Gibson will then return to Japan for the Women’s Major League Softball fall season.
For the Philadelphia Force, Megan Gibson has made four starts in the circle and struck out 15 in 22.0 innings pitched. Megan Gibson leads the team with a .280 batting average, four home runs, a .419 on base percentage and a .800 slugging percentage.
