The Los Angeles County coroner’s office is trying to put together a complicated jigsaw of Michael Jackson’s medical history and has subpoenaed files and records related to his medical care.
Meanwhile, results of toxicology tests that are expected to shed light on what killed the 50-year-old, are still three weeks’ away from being released.
A source has revealed that ‘any and all’ of Jacko’s medical records had been subpoenaed including radiology and psychiatric records.
Arnold Klein, a dermatologist who treated Jackson, has received a subpoena already, his attorney confirmed.
Jackson’s former wife, Debbie Rowe, was a dermatological nurse who once worked with Klein.
Several doctors connected to the singer, including his personal physician Dr Conrad Murray, have also been questioned in connection with the case into his death.
Even though toxicology tests have been done, a principle drug suspected in Jackson’s case may not even show up in his body.
The drug, Diprivan, a short-acting anaesthetic reportedly found in Jackson’s rented home, is quickly excreted by the body.
Anaesthesiologist Paul Wischmeyer said Diprivan would be ‘probably undetectable’ in the bloodstream 20 minutes after it was adminstered but that alternate tests could be done to look for its presence.
“You can find it in the urine,” he added.
