George Michael, sportscaster on “George Michael Sports Machine” has died at the age of 70. George Michael died because of complications due to leukemia. George Michael died at a hospital in Washington, and George Michael death was reported by his family.
George Michael popular show “George Michael Sports Machine” was aired on NBC on Sunday nights starting in 1984, and lasted for more than two decades. George Michael served as sports director at WRC-TV, NBC’s Washington, DC affiliate for 27 years.
George Michael loved all sorts of sports, and even focused on NASCAR and bull riding before they became common staples in TV.
Many people in the area sat down and watched the popular show. Those that love sports will remember the sportscaster as boisterous and energetic. Many Davidson County residents grew up on his shows and are very sad that he is gone.
