August 10th, 2009 LimauAis college hunks hauling junk, shark tank tv showCollege Hunks Hauling Junk’s founders Omar Soliman and Nick Friedman will appear on an episode of the new ABC reality show “Shark Tank” Aug. 9 to pitch their sister business idea, where female college students help people organize, pack and unpack.
Shark Tank TV Show is based on the U.K. hit “Dragon’s Den,” where entrepreneurs attempt to convince investors the “sharks” that their business ideas are worthy of the sharks’ money.
The promotional commercial for “Shark Tank” shows Soliman and Friedman standing with girls dressed in tight pink T-shirts and khaki pants in front of a panel of investors. One “fox” charges $80 an hour for four hours of work, according to the company’s Web site.
The panel of judges includes real estate giant Barbara Corcoran and FUBU CEO Daymond John.
Soliman and Friedman, who are also childhood friends started the Tampa-based service in D.C. in 2003 and currently have franchises scattered across more than a dozen metro areas.
Friedman and Soliman were named two of the “Top 30 Entrepreneurs in America Under 30” by Inc. Magazine.
